The Chianti and Florentine Valdarno Museum System includes two territories in the southern province of Florence that share centuries of history and art, and have been working together since 2008 to achieve the common goal of cultural growth.
The basic aim of the Museum System is that of enhancing and publicising the area’s tangible and intangible heritage through museums, archaeological zones, monuments, landscapes and memory, in the interests of all and to emphasise the link between the territory and its communities. The network includes the Municipalities of San Casciano Val di Pesa (headquarters), Bagno a Ripoli, Barberino Tavarnelle, Figline e Incisa Valdarno, Greve in Chianti, Reggello, and Rignano sull’Arno.
